Pijnenburg is situated on the border of the province of Utrecht with the province of Noord-Holland, at the very foothills of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a ridge of sand left by glaciers during the last Ice Age.
This magnificent estate spans 340 hectare or 840 acres, most of it consisting of woodland intersected by beech avenues or lanes lined with fir trees alternated by meadowland.
The largest part of the estate is situated near the picturesque village of Lage Vuursche within the municipal borders of Baarn.
Several houses on the estate are let to tenants for longer periods of time. If you would be interested, we herewith invite you to add your name to the list so that we may contact you whenever a vacancy occurs.
Pijnenburg was purchased by Herman Albrecht Insinger in 1860. The manor and the surrounding woodlands have remained with his family ever since, although terrain in Soest, known as ‘Hees’ was sold in the second half of the 20th century. The manor was built in 1647 by the well-known architect Philips Vingboons. With the exception of the manor, the gardens and the directly surrounding parkland, the grounds of the estate are open to the public. Walkers, hikers, cyclists and riders are most welcome. Five cottages on the estate are for rent for shorter periods and the estate also offers treetop adventure courses at the Klimbos Gooi Eemland. The beautiful scenery of the estate has been used as a backdrop for commercials and feature films. If you would be interested to use the estate as a film location, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone: 035-6668200 or send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
