Holiday Home De Beuk

Holiday Home De Beuk (The Beech)

This semi-detached cottage with characteristic red and green shutters offers a view over peaceful meadows and greenery. In Summer one may catch a glimpse of the farmer on his tractor at work, his cows or at dawn or dusk, even feeding roe deer. Buzzards circling in the sky looking for prey. ‘The Beech’ has a lawn which is shared with the other half of the semi-detached house, ‘De Eik’ (The Oak). The terrace is separated and private. This charming little cottage has been renovated in 2012, it has wifi and two double bedrooms, although one of them is less suitable for a couple.

Lay-out of the house:
The frontdoor opens directly into the kitchen with the dining area. All modern amenities are present, a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. The bathroom with shower and double washing basin is on the ground floor as is the toilet and the laundry closet with a washing machine and dryer. The living room is spacious and has the original beams and oak floor. There is a digital television set.

Upstairs there is a small open storage space and two double bedrooms of which one is slightly narrow which is why the two beds are unable to stand side by side in this room. The staircase to the first floor is quite steep and for this reason this cottage would be unsuitable for very young children or elderly people. A maximum of two pets is allowed.

The Heather fields of the protected ‘The Stulp’ area are within 10 minutes walking distance of where one may observe water foul on the ‘Pluismeer’ from a watchingpost or run into the large white herd of ‘Charolais’ cows. The picturesque village Lage Vuursche where one goes for pancakes is a 25 minute walk and ‘Paleis Soestdijk’ with its beautiful gardens is less than a 10 minute drive on the N234.

The cottage is particularly suitable for those who are fond of nature and like to take (long) walks.
